What are the benefits of dealing with a company like SMR?

(Customer) You are dealing with a 50 plus year old company that can assure you of great pricing, items, customer service, and overall confidence of getting what you ask for.

(Vendor) Getting your products placed in accounts that you are currently not in. Direct communication with our sales reps for specific accounts/territories. Appointments with large chains as a result of their relationships.

I am a retailer with 20 stores and do not have my own warehouse/dc, but can ship goods to one of my larger stores if need be, can I take advantage of discounted pricing if I ship to 1 location?

SMR offers two prices based on drop shipments via UPS/Fed Ex (usually on 1 or 2 displays or cases) and than a better price based on a quantity via truck (usually a pallets worth of displays or cases) if shipped to 1 location. So regardless if you ship to a store with a large receiving area with storage space, or a warehouse/dc you would be able to take advantage of the lower pricing.

My company constantly comes out with new items, how do I get that information into your sales reps hands?

There is a specific process in how to set up items (found in New Vendor Kit) as far as how the sell sheet should look, uploading information on our portal, and getting literature and samples in the reps hands. Once you get started initially, you follow up with your contact in the main office when you want to add items to what you originally got started with.

Should we attend the SMR show?

(Customer)  All retailers should attend the SMR show, this will be our 56th annual! Our show gives you an opportunity to see 175 of our vendors under one roof and gives you an opportunity to book merchandise from May to the following May. You are able to take advantage of show specials, bakers dozens, bogos etc. You also see what is new and exciting from each of the vendors in attendance.

(Vendor) SMR has ALWAYS sold out their shows and is avialble on a first come, first serve basis. We encourage all of our vendors to attend as we do up to 1/3 of our annual sales in the two days, and gives you an opportunity to be with our reps and customers all at  the same time.
