Founded in 1958, Supermarket Representatives Inc. (SMR) began with a simple mission: to connect independent vendors with retail operators across the country. A family-owned business now in its third generation, SMR has stayed true to its roots while evolving with the times. Specializing in self-contained goods like Floor Displays, Counter Displays, Dump Bins, and more, the company has played a pivotal role in shaping the retail landscape.

Over the years, SMR has grown significantly, now representing over 150 Vendors and offering thousands of products across a wide range of categories. Despite this expansion, the company’s core values of personalized service and dedication to quality have remained unchanged. Today, SMR continues to build lasting relationships with both vendors and retailers, helping to bring innovative products to store shelves nationwide. As a Vendor working with SMR means getting your products placed into New Markets & Accounts that would otherwise be unattainable. Stay in direct communication with our Sales Reps and be notified of new business in your Target Territories or Accounts. Their established relationships get your Products into Franchises & Large Chain Stores.

I have multiple stores but no Warehouse - Are there delivery discounts?

SMR offers Pricing Discounts based on the overall quantity ordered. Drop Shipment Pricing is available for small quantity and Volume Discounts are always offered for larger orders. Drop Shipments are delivered via UPS/FedEx and Volume Shipments are sent via LTL Truck Shipments to one specified location - unless alternative Shipping Services are requested. Regardless if shipping to a Distribution Center, Warehouse, Storage Space, or Storefront - You can take advantage of the lower pricing!

SMR's Annual General Merchandise, Pet & Candy Trade Show has been a yearly event since we started them back in 1969! Our Show is an opportunity to network with 175+ Vendors, get a firsthand look at each Vendor's Top Selling & New Products from that year and place Orders for them at Show Special Pricing! SMR's Show allows you to converse and connect with colleagues while getting a preferential look at the best products from our curated group of Vendors. Our next show marks our 62nd Annual GM, Pet & Candy Show - Find out why our show has been going six decades strong and counting! SMR's Annual Show ends up always being SOLD OUT - Tickets are available on a 'first-come, first-serve' basis. We encourage all our Vendors to attend our Annual Show for the opportunity it affords. The show generates 30% of our Annual Revenue in just two days!

How do I get our newest Product Information into SMR Sales Reps hands?

The Vendor Onboarding process is spelled out in the New Vendor Kit. The Vendor Portal gives you complete control over your Item Information - Keeping this information accurate is critical so we try and make it as simple as possible for our Vendors to utilize. SMR Sales Reps actively communicate with our manufacturing vendors to stay apprised of the newest and best performing items so they can share them with the other stores in similar markets.
